For a long time I’ve gotten mounds and mounds of spam. I’ve decided to start counting the number of it I get. I get rather a lot, and each morning when I get in to work, I empty the dead mail folder from my spam killer software. I delete thousands of them a week, so I decided to start tracking it – you can see a chart on the left side of my blog here.

I started yesterday, and just in the last two days, I’ve already deleted 7,783 pieces of spam. Now granted, the first day also included the spam I’d gotten since I left for the weekend on Friday, but that’s still a lot!

The software I use is (oddly enough) SpamKiller. It’s from McAfee, but I’ve been using it for several years, since before McAfee bought it out and started selling it. You can get more info about it at http://www.spamkiller.com.
