- This is the first time we’ve seen the Ice Warriors since 1972’s “Monster of Peladon“.
- This is the first time we see the Ice Warriors out of their armor, which is itself a new concept. Prior to this, every appearance had them just in their “armor”.

they updated the Warriors, as they are rather lumbering creatures. Great drama w/the Doctor missing the Tardis stuck at the bottom of the ocean in a sub. Nice "no helmet" look for the IW. pic.twitter.com/YOSa0BWQ3z
