Notes

  • Featured the first regular appearance of Peter Capaldi’s 12th Doctor.  It also features the last (to date as of Sep 2023) appearance of Matt Smith’s 11th Doctor, in a cameo when he talks to Clara.
  • Aired nearly 8 months after the airing of the last episode, “The Time of the Doctor“.
  • There’s a reference back to the David Tennant episode “The Girl in the Fireplace” here, which the Doctor clearly on screen says he doesn’t “get”. :)
  • Clara does Troughton’s “You’ve redecorated – I don’t like it” here.
