Notes
- There is a still picture shown of Nomad’s creator, Jackson Roykirk. In real life, this is the director, Marc Daniels.
- One of my favorite bloopers comes from here. The one where Kirk is talking to Nomad, blows the line, and Scotty comes up behind him and says “You forgot about the environment and all that stuff”. haha.
- Nomad’s “full name” is ‘Nomad MK-15c”. Kind of reminds me of Red Dwarf’s Kryten’s full name being “Kryten 2X4B-523P”.
- Uhura sings the song “Beyond Antares” in this episode. She also sang the same thing in “Conscience of the King“.

Plot wise this reminds me of the first movie and V'Ger. A robot mistakes Jim Kirk for its creator, Jackson Roykirk. It comes on board the Enterprise, causes problems. First it kills Scotty, then revives him. pic.twitter.com/BZ5VQR9oeL

Also wipes the mind of Uhura, a plot point never brought up again. Some great drama, & the voice of Nomad going "ERROR!" still sticks in my brain. Loved this as it was a "all on the ship ep", my favorite kind. pic.twitter.com/dFWTgdXWpH

This episode is the source of one of my favorite bloopers. It's one where Jimmy Doohan comes up and says a funny bit about the environment when Shatner blows a line. pic.twitter.com/PjBN3i4Fnd
