Notes

• The first episode with Gates McFadden since the Season 1 finale, “The Neutral Zone“.  No mention is made of what happened to Dr. Pulaski, however.
• Geordi is promoted to Lieutenant and Worf is promoted to Lt Jr Grade off screen.
• The real life uniforms the cast wore were changed before this season started.  They apparently cost $3,000 per person.
• The opening titles and theme song were altered slightly from what came before.  This version of the music will remain through the run of the rest of the series.
• The computer core set was built on the location of the old movie bridge set.
• The first script by Michael Pillar, who would go on to become show runner on TNG.  Later on he would be show runner on Deep Space Nine, and one of the co-creators of Star Trek Voyager.
