Notes

  • The first time Mark Lenard appeared as Sarek since the TOS episode “Journey to Babel” in 1967 (23 years prior).  He would appear again as Sarek in TNG in “Unification, Part 1“.
  • The first time we get a mind mild in Next Generation.
  • Journey to Babel is briefly mentioned as Sarek’s helping Coridon to get admitted to the Federation (the point of that episode).
  • Spock and Amanda are mentioned, but not seen.
  • The first appearance of Ensign Gates, who would appear in 35 more episodes. She was a “flight control officer”.
  • The concert hall is a redress of Ten Forward.  The bar is normally where the seats are in this episode.

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek TNG Ep 71 - Sarek - 14 May 1990 2/2 illness. He ends up doing his job due to help from Picard. Has an AMAZING acting scene from Patrick Stewart when he held the mind of Sarek in is head. Off the charts awesome. Loved this ep when new, still love it now. Great stuff.
