Notes
- Tracy Scoggins is in this episode as Gilora. I know her well from the last year of Babylon 5 as Commander Lochley. I also know her from the two “Dallas” reunion movies as Anita Smithfield.
- Erick Avari plays Vedek Yarka. He was in an episode of TNG (“Unification I“) as well as one of Enterprise (“Terra Nova“). He was also in one of my favorite movies of all time (“Independence Day“) as the scientist at the start who complains about golf balls.
- The relay station is a re-use of the Amargosa observatory from “Star Trek: Generations“.
- Two rules of acquisition mentioned:
# 34 – War is good for business
# 35 – Peace is good for business - The last appearance of the shuttlepod on the Defiant in the series.
- This episode shows Sisko’s change in behavior about being the Emissary – he’s uncomfortable here, where towards the end of the series he’s quite the opposite.

A story that leans into Bajoran religious beliefs a lot, and how Starfleet feels about one of their captains being the focal point of all that. Until we get towards the back

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Deep Space Nine Ep 61 - Destiny - 13 Feb 1995 2/2 end of the final season the Bajoran religious stories weren't my favorite - this was "ok". Had Tracy Scoggins from Babylon 5 here as a Cardassian. There's some fun scenes with O'Brien and one of the Cardassian scientists.
