Notes

  • Sisko is revealed to be from New Orleans here.  He’s also shown to be a cook, something that happened again with Chris Pike in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.
  • The first episode in Star Trek to show the Trill homeworld.
  • The first episode to show that a Trill’s spots go all the way down their body to their feet.
  • Joran Dax would return in the season 7 episode “Field of Fire“, but he’s played by a different actor there (Leigh McCloskey).
  • O’Brien is not seen in this episode.

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Deep Space Nine Ep 50 - Equilibrium - 17 Oct 1994 2/2 surface. In figuring that out, we learn a lot about Trills. Like their spots go all the way to their feet, their concepts of surnames with changing hosts, etc. A good mystery that I did not remember the answer for.
