Return to Grace

This Story: Season 4 Episode 14 (production code 486)
DS9 Overall: Episode 86
Trek Overall: Story 346, Episode 367
Airdate: 5 Feb 1996
Story: Tom Benko
Teleplay: Hans Beimler
Director: Jonathan West

Notes

  • A sequel to the episode “Indiscretion” from earlier this season.
  • The first episode for Casey Biggs (as Damar), who would end up with a quite large role by the time the series is over.
  • The second appearance of the Tora Ziyal, and the final one when she’s played by Cyia Batten. Batten also played Irina in the Voyager episode “Drive“, as well as one of the green Orion slave girls (Navaar) in the Enterprise episode “Bound“. Ziyal would continue to appear later played by other women.
  • Dukat’s actions in this episode are pretty similar to what Kirk did in Search for Spock about beaming people off a ship and then blowing up his.

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Deep Space Nine Ep 86 - Return to Grace - 5 Feb 1996 2/2 Dukat, & Ziyal. This could basically be called an "evolution of Dukat" ep. Further proof that Mark Alaimo was one the best things on DS9. Great bad guy because he's got depth, not just a mustache twirling bad guy.
