It's set up by the Duke of Winchester on his deathbed. He's played by OG Doctor Who companion William Russell (here Russell Enoch).

The Black Adder Ep 3 - "The Archbishop" - 22 Jun 1983 2/2 #BlackAdder Other than amusing joke about Black Adder's codpiece, this ep didn't do much of anything for me. A bummer because Brian Blessed is in more of this one, and I love him. I did think the costumes were good in this one, however.
