- The first episode of thirteen episodes with Martha Hackett as Seska. Hackett had previously appeared on DS9 in “The Search Pt I” as a Romulan.

- An early working title of this episode was “Ghost Ship”.
- The earliest time we got a bottle episode in any series of Star Trek to this point. :)
