  • The working title for this episode was “Beyond”.
  • Neelix does not appear in this episode.
  • The third appearance of Seska in the series.
  • The first time Harry Kim dies on Voyager.  It won’t be the last.
  • Jerry Hardin plays Neria here.  He was also Radue in TNG’s “When the Bough Breaks” as well as Samuel Clemens in TNG’s “Time’s Arrow“.
  • Jefrey Alan Chandler plays Garan here.  He was also a Trill Guardian in the DS9 episode “Facets“.

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Voyager Ep 9 - Emanations - 13 Mar 1995 2/2 chance to discuss cultural issues surrounding the concept of death. I quite liked Chakotay in this ep. I was sucked into the story. Liked watching it play out. I got invested in the secondary characters. Well done episode.
