Non Sequitur

This Story: Season 2 Episode 5 (production code 122)
VOY Overall: Episode 21
Trek Overall: Story 452, Episode 477
Airdate: 25 Sep 1995
Written by Brannon Braga
Directed by David Livingston

Notes

  • Running fired torpedo count: 1
  • The Doctor, Neelix, & Kes do not appear in this episode.
  • This was shot on the same set as DS9 used for New Orleans.  Some old footage from The Voyage Home and the TNG episode “Relics” was re-used here. Also, the runabout explosion was reused from the DS9 episode “Armageddon Game“.
  • Due to the reuse of footage from Star Trek IV, it means this is the only time a Tellarite appears in Voyager.
  • The Admiral who interrogates Kim was supposed to be Deanna Troi, but due to schedule problems Sirtis wasn’t available – so the role was rewritten.  Troi would appear in Voyager later.
  • Jennifer Gatti played Kim’s girlfriend Libby here.  She was also Ba’el in the TNG episodes “Birthright” (Parts I & II).

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Voyager Ep 21 - Non Sequitur - 25 Sep 1995 1/2 A very Kim heavy ep - so much so the rest of the crew barely is in it, nearly all at the end. Kim wakes up in San Francisco. He's not on Voyager, as he never signed up for that. Given you know they won't let Kim be this way

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Voyager Ep 21 - Non Sequitur - 25 Sep 1995 2/2 for good, you just wait for a reset. This was done at Garrett Wang's request to get something more to do. Nothing BAD about it, but it didn't grab me. Towards the end, I just waited for the end to come.

My prior physical copies of Star Trek: Voyager looked this way.
