Notes

  • Running fired torpedo count: 1
  • Working title for this episode was “Seska”.
  • The first time we see the Kazon since the pilot.
  • Seska appears again for the third episode in a row – this one reveals who she was all along.
  • When making this, Kate Mulgrew was sick, and as such some of her lines were given to other cast.
  • The outdoor scenes were filmed at Bronson Caves in Bronson Canyon.  It’s a familiar location in Trek, as Deep Space Nine, Enterprise, Next Gen,  and the original series all filmed here.  Additionally, The A Team, Batman, Bonanza, The Dukes of Hazzard, the 60’s Mission Impossible series, and the Monkees all filmed here.  Plus a whole lot more.
  • Tuvok theorizes that other Federation ships could have been brought into the Delta Quadrant.  This is eventually shown in the Equinox two parter.
  • Not quite sure what the title of the episode has to do with the episode itself.

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Voyager Ep 11 - State of Flux - 10 Apr 1995 2/2 ep is the set up to that reveal, so it's Seska heavy. Liked seeing them scouring planets for FOOD - an interesting variable. I also enjoyed Chokotay here. Some good dialogue. Overall I've enjoyed him more on this rewatch.
