Notes
- Running fired torpedo count: 18 / Confirmed crew deaths since pilot: 13 (one this episode, crew of 141).
- The second (of four) episode of Voyager directed by Robert Duncan McNeill (Tom Paris).
- The colony on the planet used sets that were previously used in the episodes odes “The Chute” and “Fair Trade“.
- The Borg outfits were the same ones used in “Star Trek: First Contact“.
- The first fully CGI rendered Borg Cube happened in this episode.
- While not explicitly seen or mentioned, the eventual “Species 8472” are implied to have fought the Borg here.
- There’s a reference to the famed Wolf 359 battle in Star Trek TNG/DS9 lore here.
- As a Texan, I enjoyed the reference to Texas BBQ in this episode. :)
- A third shuttlecraft was lost in this episode.
- Ivar Brogger played Orum here. He was also “Barus” in “Natural Law“.

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Voyager Ep 59 - Unity - 12 Feb 1997 2/2 what happens there - it's a good revelation. Well directed (by Robert McNeill), had a sense of "don't know what's gonna happen", which I enjoyed both now and then. Great way to bring the Borg back to TV, yet do something different.
