Notes

  • Running fired torpedo count: 23 / Confirmed crew deaths since pilot: 14 (crew of 140).
  • A working title for this episode is “Da Vinci’s Day Out”.
  • The second and final appearance of John Rhys Davies as Leonardo Da Vinci.  His workshop however would reappear in “The Omega Directive“.
  • There is a reference to the TOS episode “Requiem for Methuselah” where Janeway mentions Kirk met DaVinci.
  • Tau is played by John Vargas. Vargas also played one of the Regula I scientists under Carol Marcus in Wrath of Khan.
  • Side note: A character billed as “Alien Visitor” is played by Don Pugsley.  The actor didn’t appear in any other Trek, but I wanted to point this out as I liked the alien makeup.  I can see several other races’ markings in this, and I quite like the way this one looks.
  • DaVinci’s flight is called “The Great Bird” – always wondered if that was an intentional reference to Gene Roddenberry. e

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Voyager Ep 79 - Concerning Flight - 26 Nov 1997 2/2 help of Janeway's DaVinci holodeck character. Not exactly a high stakes ep, you know they'll get their stuff back - a fun romp. I 100% forgot this ep, was nice to not know what was coming. Love some John Rhys-Davies.

My prior physical copies of Star Trek: Voyager looked this way.
