Scientific Method

This Story: Season 4 Episode 7 (production code 175)
VOY Overall: Episode 75
Trek Overall: Story 503, Episode 531
Airdate: 29 Oct 1997
Story by Sherry Klein & Harry Kloor
Teleplay by Lisa Klink
Directed by David Livingston

Notes

  • Running fired torpedo count: 23 / Confirmed crew deaths since pilot: 14 (one this episode – crew of 140).  However in “Distant Origin” and “Displaced” said the crew was 148, so this would be 147?
  • It is said that Voyager has 257 rooms overall on the ship.
  • Seven wears her third outfit in three consecutive appearances.
  • Annette Helde plays Taker here.  She was also Karina in DS9’s “Visionary“, Lt Larkin on DS9’s “The Siege of AR-558“, and an unnamed Lieutenant in Star Trek: First Contact.
  • We get to see Chakotay’s full head tattoo – most of it is normally hidden by his hair.

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Voyager Ep 75 - Scientific Method - 29 Oct 1997 1/2 We get more time with Tom & B'Elanna's new relationship. This one doesn't bother me like some Trek pairups (Worf/Troi, Chakotay/Seven). The main plot involves aliens doing experiments on the Voyager crew without them

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Voyager Ep 75 - Scientific Method - 29 Oct 1997 2/2 knowing about it. Chakotay & Neelix trying to out argue each other over about problems was funny. The alien part of this I didn't care for, but overall it was an ok ep. Kind of reminds me of a similar TNG ep (Schisms).

My prior physical copies of Star Trek: Voyager looked this way.
