Infinite Regress

This Story: Season 5 Episode 7 (production code 203)
VOY Overall: Episode 101
Trek Overall: Story 526, Episode 556
Airdate: 25 Nov 1998
Story by Robert J. Doherty & Jimmy Diggs
Teleplay by Robert J. Doherty
Directed by David Livingston

Notes

  • Running fired torpedo count: 40 / Confirmed crew deaths since pilot: 19 (crew of 140 (my count says 134) – but is 127?).
  • There’s a minor hint that one of the personalities Seven had was someone they ran into in Season 4 (Anorak in Year of Hell), but the problem there is that Seven was disconnected from the collective by that point.
  • The events of this episode are referred to in the Star Trek Picard episode “Dominion” when Seven is trying to verify that Tuvok is who he says he is.
  • The Ferengi are identified as “Species 180” here, which seems odd, as Alpha Quadrant species usually have higher numbers than that.
  • “Species 6339” is referenced here by Seven, but no idea who that actually is.
  • A reference is made to Wolf 359 here.

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Voyager Ep 101 - Infinite Regress - 25 Nov 1998 2/2 us some good acting performances by Jeri Ryan. Seven, while a great character doesn't have the widest range of emotional responses - so this was a good chance to see something different there. Liked Naomi Wildman too.

These guys look like something from the original 80’s Tron movie.

My prior physical copies of Star Trek: Voyager looked this way.
