Notes
- Running fired torpedo count: 53. This contradicts the hard limit set in “The Cloud” of 38.
- Capt Braxton returns from his prior appearance in “Future’s End“. In that one he’s played by Allan G. Royal. This time he’s played by Bruce McGill. It is supposed to be the same character, just recast.
- Bruce McGill has been in a metric ton of things, but the thing I know him best from was 1978’s “Animal House” as “Daniel Simpson Day” (aka “D-Day”).
- The last episode that involved Nick Sagan in a writing capacity. In all he contributed to five.
- The first anything in any incarnation of Star Trek to properly show the Utopia Planitia Shipyards, which has been mentioned many times through the years on Star Trek.
- The bridge of the USS Relativity was apparently a redress of the bridge of the USS Enterprise-E bridge.
- Lt Joe Carey appears here, having last been season in Season 1’s “State of Flux”. This is from a timeline prior to current. He does appear twice more – once in “Fury” (also in the past), and “Friendship One” (current time).
- Braxton mentions three major time incursions Voyager was involved in. Two of them are described in some capacity (“Future’s End” & “Timeless“). The third is not named, but probably could be “Year of Hell” or “Endgame“.
- The fifth and final time Voyager is shown to have been destroyed. Likewise it’s the eighth time Janeway is shown to have died – but one more is yet to happen in the series. :)
- The EMH is shown to be activated before the launch of Voyager, which seems to contradict past canon which says he wasn’t activated until Voyager was stranded in the Delta Quadrant.
- Lt. Ducane is played by Jay Karnes. Karnes also played Agent Wells in two Star Trek Picard episodes – “Monsters” & “Mercy“.
- The Borg designation for the Kazon (shown in a screenshot) is “Species 329”. This is consistent with the other time this was mentioned – in the episode “Mortal Coil“.

Reminds me in part of Back to the Future II with multiple copies of people floating around. Seven is recruited by a 29th century Federation timeship (hello Bruce McGill), and sent thru

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Voyager Ep 118 - Relativity - 12 May 1999 2/3 various parts of Voyager's past (including before the show pilot) to stop someone from destroying the ship. The culprit is an amusing twist. But mostly I loved seeing "current" Voyager mix with past Voyager. So much fun.

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Voyager Ep 118 - Relativity - 12 May 1999 3/3 A Relativity spinoff would be fun. Braxton is recast here from the character's last appearance (Future's End). Here he's played by Bruce McGill whom I know very well as "D Day" (Daniel Simpson Day) from 1978's Animal House.
