Prophecy

This Story: Season 7 Episode 14 (production code 260)
VOY Overall: Episode 160
Trek Overall: Story 582, Episode 616
Airdate: 7 Feb 2001
Story by Larry Nemecek, J. Kelley Burke, Raf Green, & Kenneth Biller
Teleplay by Mike Sussman & Phyllis Strong
Directed by Terry Windell

Notes

  • Running fired torpedo count: 71.  This contradicts the hard limit set in “The Cloud” of 38.
  • This story was apparently pitched before they filmed “Caretaker” – was sitting on the shelf for awhile.
  • The first time full Klingons appear in the series (except the version the Vidiians creation of B’Elanna in “Faces“). Prior appearances have been holograms, dream sequences, or alternate realities.
  • There is a loose reference here to Harry Kim’s activities in the episode “The Disease” here.
  • Sherman Howard plays the Klingon T’Greth here.  He was also Endar in TNG’s “Suddenly Human” and the Vulcan Syvar in DS9’s “Shakaar“.
  • The Klingon Morak was played by Paul Eckstein.  He was also the “New Alpha Hirogen” in “Flesh and Blood“.  He was also a “Young Hirogen” in the episode “The Killing Game”.  It’s unclear if they’re supposed to be the same one.  Other roles he’s had: Limara’Son in DS9’s “Rocks and Shoals“, Supervisor Yost in “Gravity“, an unnamed Jem’Hadar in DS9’s “The Dogs of War“.
  • The Klingon Kohlar was played by Wren T. Brown.  He was also an Enterprise shuttle pilot in TNG’s “Manhunt“.
  • In this, Neelix sings a Klingon drinking song that I’m 100% sure I’ve heard sung on Deep Space Nine somewhere, but I can’t place it as I was watching this one.

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Voyager Episode 160 - Prophecy - 7 Feb 2001 1/2 A fun ep that feels a bit like the TNG S1 ep "Heart of Glory". In this one some Klingons with an old D7 ship show up. Loved the D7 - my favorite Klingon ship design. These Klingons are a religious sect, and they believe

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Voyager Episode 160 - Prophecy - 7 Feb 2001 2/2 that B'Elanna's unborn child is their saviour - you don't usually see this side of Klingon culture. One of the Klingon women gets all horny for Harry which is hilarious af. Very much enjoyed this very "Klingon" episode.

My prior physical copies of Star Trek: Voyager looked this way.
