• This is a sequel to the episode “Fusion“.
• The first time we see a Denobulan in the series other than Phlox.
• This episodes’ plot was intentionally chosen to speak to HIV & sexual orientation.  Viacom (the then corporate overlord) was doing an HIV awareness campaign, and this episode was Enterprise’s contribution to that.
• The padd used by the Vulcans is a reuse of a padd that the Bajorans used on Deep Space Nine.
• The illness that T’Pol has this episode isn’t cured until the Season 4 episode “Kir’Shara“.
• The Vulcan Oratt was played by Michael Ensign here.  He was also Krola in TNG’s “First Contact“, a different Vulcan named Lojal in DS9’s “The Forsaken“, and was “The Bard” in Voyager’s “False Profits“.
• The Vulcan Strom was played by Bob Morrisey.  He was also a Xindi-Reptilian Captain in the episode “The Forgotten“.
• Yuris was played by Jeffrey Hayenga.  He was also Orta in TNG’s “Ensign Ro“.  His face (unnamed) was also used on a wanted poster in Odo’s office in about a dozen episodes of Deep Space Nine.
