Notes

• Running Decon Gel Scene Appearances: T’Pol (3), Trip (2), Hoshi (2), Malcolm (1), Archer (1), Porthos (1).  None this episode.
• The third of nine episodes directed by TNG’s LeVar Burton.
• The Vissian stratopod is re-use of a set for the Starfleet inspection pod last seen in “Broken Bow“.
• One of the films that Tucker offers to show their guest is “The Bride of Chaotica” – a direct reference to the episode of the same name from Star Trek: Voyager.  There is a similar TNG reference there too with Picard’s “Dixon Hill” holodeck character.  There is a picture of both of these in the photos below.
• The Vissian engineer was played by FJ Rio.  He was also Joleg in Voyager’s “Repentance“, and Enrique Muniz in three DS9 episodes – “Starship Down“, “Hard Time“, & “The Ship“.
• Veylo was played by Laura Interval.  She was also Erin Hansen (Anika’s mother) in the Voyager two parter “Dark Frontier“.
• The Vissian Captain Drennik was played by Andreas Katsulas.  He played the Romulan commander Tomalak in four episodes of TNG, but he’s most known as being G’Kar – a primary cast member in Babylon 5.   Drennik was one of his final acting roles (had just one after this and in the same year), as he was diagnosed with incurable lung cancer right after making this episode.  He would die of that shortly afterwards.
