Notes

• The first on screen writing credit for Terry Matalas who would go on to become the producer (plus sometimes writer and director) of Star Trek: Picard Season 3.
• The ninth of fifteen episodes of Enterprise directed by David Livingston.
• The design of the Vulcan ship here was based off the design of a ring ship shown on a wall in Star Trek: The Motion Picture.
• One of the sets (a crawlway used by Archer & Reed) was built for the USS Enterprise NCC-1701E from the First Contact movie.
• The isolation prop on the Vulcan ship was also used in the episodes “Harbinger” & “The Council“.
• The name of the Vulcan ship (Selaya) was named after a mountain range on Vulcan of the same name.
• The events of this episode are recalled later in the episode “Home“.
• This episode begins a sub plot of T’Pol being addicted to Trelluim-D, which lasts through until 14 episodes from now in “Damage“.
• The plot of this episode is similar to the DS9 episode “Empok Nor“.   Both crews run across a seemingly abandoned station and one of the crew gets a drug addiction as well.
• At just eighteen seconds, this might be the shortest pre-titles sequence in all of Star Trek – or awfully close to it.
