Trek Overall: Story 680b, Episode 720

Notes
- The first episode of Star Trek to be directed by David Barrett. He would also direct two episodes of Star Trek: Discovery.
- There is a graphic mistake on a screen in the episode referring to Enterprise and Columbia as “USS Enterprise”, when neither ship had ever used that nomenclature.
- The Klingon Laneth was played by Kristin Bauer. She was also an unnamed fantasy woman of Quark’s in the DS9 episode “If Wishes Were Horses“.
- The final appearance of Ada Maris as Capt Hernandez. This is also the last time we see NX-02 Columbia as well.
- The Klingon Krell was played by Wayne Grace. He was also the Klingon Torak in TNG’s “Aquiel” and an unnamed Cardassian Legate in DS9’s “Wrongs Darker Than Death or Night“.

with Klingons over ethics & medicine. Loved the cliffhanger resolution with Trip between starships on a line. The stuff with Reed was better in Pt II. Even the hokey explanation for the TOS Klingons worked for me. I remember when this was brand new, I thought it was cool they were explaining that.
