Notes

• This episode aired the same night as the series finale.
• The foundation of the Federation occurs in this episode when Archer convinces several races to create a “Coalition of Planets”.
• Thoris was supposed to be Shran, but the producers decided to keep him for the finale instead.
• Thoris was placed by Joel Swetow.  He was also the Cardassian Jasad in DS9’s “Emissary” and Yog in TNG’s “Firstborn“.
• The only time we see Hoshi in command of the NX-01 Enterprise in the series.
• The final appearance of Gary Graham as Soval.  Graham and the show’s guest Eric Pierpoint were regulars on the show Alien Nation together.
• The monument for Carl Sagan was the last thing designed for the Trek franchise in general by Michael Okuda.
• The final episode of the series featuring the proper version of the characters.  The actual finale is a holodeck scene from 100 or so years in the future.
