This Story: Season 2 Episode 3 (production code 203)
DSC Overall: Episode 18
Trek Overall: Story 701, Episode 744
Airdate: 31 Jan 2019
Written by Andrew Colville
Directed by Olatunde Osunsanmi
Notes
- The Klingon D-7 battle cruiser from TOS is shown here in a projection as some future great weapon of the Klingons.
- Apparently Klingons only shave their heads during a time of war.
- One of the background Klingons in one scene is shown with the House of Mogh’s crest.
- Klingon blood is shown to be pink again.
- Spock’s medical file lists a lot of medicines given. Apparently they’ve all been referenced in prior episodes of TNG & VOY, but one of them came from a TAS episode, which I quite enjoyed.
- Features the return of Michelle Yeoh as Philippa Georgiou (well, really Mirror Philippa), who is now working for Section 31.

Mirror Georgiou pops up, along with Ash Tyler, now working for Section 31. We also get into a power struggle in the Klingon empire with L'Rell getting into hot water

hot water over having a child with VoQ/Ash. Said child is eventually sent away to live at a monastery (will crop up later). We also get into trying to find Spock who is now accused of murder. Plus Tilly gets consumed by her experiment. :) A very busy, very good ep. Everything the last one wasn't.
