Notes

• The title is drawn from Shakespeare’s Macbeth.
• Lorca is revealed to have originating in the Mirror Universe – the same one that we’ve known since episode 1.  It is never disclosed in the remainder of the series what happened to the actual Prime universe Lorca.
• Similarly it is established that there was an actual human Ash Tyler prior to VoQ assuming his identity.  What happened to that version is not known.
• The events of the Enterprise episodes “In a Mirror Darkly” are referenced here on the Empire data on the USS Defiant.  It is not stated what happened to the ship in the interim, although it was likely destroyed somewhere.
• It is stated that the full name of Mirror Georgiou is “Emperor Philippa Georgiou Augustus Iaponius Centarius”.
