Notes

• The fourth season premiere for Discovery.
• Federation Count: 59 members (up from 38 in the episode “Die Trying“).
• This episode was released on the same date as Star Trek Prodigy’s “Terror Firma“.
• This episode has nothing to do with the Star Trek Prodigy episode simply titled “Kobayashi“.
• There is a tribble on Discovery, with no apparent reason for it being there.
• The first plot I can think of where Grudge actually affects the plot and wasn’t just window dressing.
• The new spacedock at Starfleet Command  HQ is titled the “Archer Spacedock”, and when we see it, parts of the Enterprise closing theme song was played (“Archer’s Theme“).
• This episode takes place about five months after the events of the last episode.
• A Lurian (hello Morn’s race) is shown being in Starfleet, the first time we’ve seen that in Star Trek.
• The first of twelve appearances by Chelah Horsdal as Federation President Laira Rillak.
• The third and final appearance of Bill Irwin as Su’Kal.
