US is Changing Daylight Savings Time
Just read this morning where the United States is planning on changing Daylight Savings Time. It’s apparently part of an energy plan to conserve oil. The article claims that it will save 100,000 barrels of oil per day.
What’s supposed to happen is that the “Spring Forward” in April will change to the first Sunday in March, and “Fall Back” in October will go to the last Sunday in November.
Personally, I’ve always loved coming home in the dark. When the time switches to the fall, I loved those days coming out of work, and having it already be black out. I will miss that. Yeah, I know it will still happen, but I’ll lose a month of that. :(
Of course, Canada is complaining about this move saying what a hardship it will be on them, and I wonder if Arizona will take part, as I don’t believe they pay attention to that, although I’m not sure why.
And here’s a dumb politician quote from the article. I mean how are we expected to take something serously when they go and say dumb crap like this?
“We all just feel sunnier after we set the clocks ahead,” said Rep. Ed Markey, D-Mass., who along with Rep. Fred Upton, R-Mich., got the measure into the energy bill.
And finally, this would make Daylight Savings Time run 8 months out of the year. Since that’s 2/3 of the entire year, wouldn’t it make it the new “Standard Time”? :)

Hey Joe. Jaymze/James from Rangerfans. Haven’t commented on anything in a while, but this one got my attention. I hate DST. I wish we would let the sun come up and go down at the time God set it to do so and quit screwing up the clock so much.
Personally, I don’t like daylight and I wish it was dark more often. I wish we would just do away with it and let the sun come up at 5 or 9 and let it set at 4 or 9 in the evening and be done with it.
they will not get rid of DST, but why screw with it? how many electronically challenged folk are going to have to learn to change the dates on preset DVDs and such? leave it alone, doesn’t the U.S. have more important issues to take care of right now?
