Notes

  • Running fired torpedo count: 77. This contradicts the hard limit set in “The Cloud” of 38.
  • This episode is tied with the Enterprise episode “E2” as the shortest in the overall Star Trek franchise.
  • This episode is a sequel to “The Q and the Grey“.
  • The third and final appearance of John De Lancie as “Q” in Voyager, and the last time we see the character until the 2020 episode of Star Trek: Lower Decks “Veritas“.  The next time we’d see “Q” in live action would be the 2022 episode of Star Trek: Picard, “The Star Gazer“.
  • Q Junior is played by John De Lancie’s real life son, Keegan de Lancie.  It is his only appearance in the franchise.
  • In a scene with Icheb, it is established that the five year mission of James T. Kirk’s Enterprise ended in 2270.
  • At the end of the episode, Q gives Janeway some “homework he’s done” – which Janeway says would shave a few years off their journey.  It could be theorized that what he gave her was the info that led them to the wormhole in the finale that eventually gets them home.

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Voyager Episode 165 - Q2 - 11 Apr 2001 2/2 shenanigans. This time Q leaves Jr with Voyager, and it's up to Janeway to try and corral him. Loved Q Jr & Icheb calling each other "Itchy" and "Q Ball". :) I quite liked the vibe of this - I had 100% forgotten the outcome.
