Notes
- The episode goes fourteen minutes and change before the opening titles, which I believe is the longest pre-title sequence in all of Trek.
- The first appearance of Michelle Yeo’s “Emperor Georgiou”. She was listed in the end credits and with the male designation (vs Empress) to help hide her appearance from what I’ve read.
- It is revealed here that Ash Tyler was really the Klingon VoQ who had been altered to appear human the entire time.
- Mirror Sarek continued the pattern of mirror Vulcans wearing goatees (Spock & Soval).
- The first time we see both the Tellarites and Andorians in Star Trek: Discovery.
- The episode’s title is a reference to Ash/VoQ.

find out that Ash isn't who he thinks he is, he's a Klingon that's been altered to pass as a human (something TOS did too). We also continue with Stamets' problems, which are compounded by the murder of Dr Culber. Some nice visuals here, with most everything being filmed dark (for obvious reasons).
