Notes

• The third season finale for Discovery.
• Officially, this and the two episodes before this aren’t a three part story, but it really does come off that way.
• Part I of this story was the first episode of the season – the longest such span between a Part I and Part II of a story.
• The original title of this episode was “Outside”.
• The Discovery crew get new uniforms at the end of this to bring them in line with what Starfleet was wearing now, vs the ones they brought from 930 years in the past.
• Burnham is promoted to Captain and given command of the USS Discovery.   Saru, who was captain has taken a leave of absence to remain on Kaminar.
• The final appearance of Janet Kidder as Osyraa – as she is killed.
• The final appearance of Kenneth Mitchell as Aurellio – he is not killed.
• I believe this is the first time we see a warp core being ejected from the point of view of the core itself.
• The closing credits used the original Alexander Courage theme tune for the original series vs Discovery’s own theme.
• After the end of the episode before the credits started, they included a quote from Gene Roddenberry via text – that picture is shown above.
