Notes

• This was not a proper Blackadder episode or special, it was a segment of the 2023 Comic Relief / Red Nose Day special.  As such, it’s not got any of the usual Blackadder trappings (theme music, Rowan Atkinson, etc).  It is also just under six minutes long.
• It is not known who directed this, but it was written by Richard Curtis – some of the background of making this is laid out in a Radio Times interview here.
• The story’s name is “Balderella” – a Blackadder version of Cinderella.
• There’s a giant turnip sitting next to Baldrick in the scene, a throwback to the character’s fascination with turnips from the series.
• It is as of this writing (Dec 2025), this segment is the most recent anything to use any of the characters from Blackadder.  Unless something else is produced after this, it will be the “final” thing in the “Adderverse”.  :)
