We get the standard sci-fi trope, the "evil brother" plot. We get to meet Data's prototype, named "Lore" - hence the ep's title. Overall this is a kind of a meh episode - there's better Lore appearances later on. pic.twitter.com/I3cbuSnfuh

However, Brent Spiner's playing two different version of the same character is done very well. Plot goes as you'd expect. Brother turns up, everyone's excited, he goes evil/rogue and good guy has to save the day. pic.twitter.com/FCk03W1U0Y

This rock face reminds me of the rock face that we saw at the top of the elevator shaft in “The Cage”.
