  • The flute song from “The Inner Light” reappears here as well as the events of the episode being told.
  • While not directly, the feeling Picard has at the end of this episode ties into his feeling of loneliness in “Star Trek: Generations”.
  • The first appearance of stellar cartography is in this episode, although it’s far more simple than it appears in Star Trek: Generations (its next appearance).

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek TNG Ep 145 - Lessons - 5 Apr 1993 2/2 makes this work well. There's some good insight into Picard's life not as a captain too. The flute from Inner Light is a big part of this. This was an emotional rollercoaster for Picard, showing him to be more vulnerable than usual.
