Notes

  • Not to be confused with the animated series “Star Trek: Lower Decks”. They don’t have anything to do with each other.  It is however the inspiration for the Lower Decks series according to show creator Mike McMahon.  But canonically, they don’t have anything to do with each other.
  • The character of Sito Jaxa is a returning character from the episode “The First Duty” – she was one of the characters that got in trouble with Wesley Crusher in that one.
  • Additionally, events from that episode are directly referenced.
  • The Vulcan Taurik was going to be an ongoing character had the show continued into an eighth season.
  • Alexander Enberg plays Taurik.  He also played another Vulcan named Vorik on Star Trek: Voyager.  Enberg is the real life son of producer Jeri Taylor.

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek TNG Ep 167 - Lower Decks - 7 Feb 1994 1/2 This has nothing to do with the show of the same name by @mikemcmahan.bsky.social. It's a story I was glad to see when new, as you always wonder what the rest of the ship was like for our non regulars. That's what this one is.

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek TNG Ep 167 - Lower Decks - 7 Feb 1994 2/2 I didn't remember much of the plot, just I liked it - today was no exception. Having a civilian in the mix here was fun. Loved the mix between established & the Lower Decks characters - sad ending. Good ep - did this on DS9 too.
