Power Play

This Story: Season 5 Episode 15 (production code 215)
TNG Overall: Episode 115
Trek Overall: Story 212, Episode 217
Airdate: 24 Feb 1992
Story by Paul Ruben & Maurice Hurley
Teleplay by René Balcer, Herbert J. Wright, & Brannon Braga
Directed by David Livingston

Notes

  • One of the guest stars is Patricia Tallman, who plays an unnamed (and unspeaking) security officer.  She’s more well known to me as the telepath Lyta Alexander on the Babylon 5 TV series.

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek TNG Ep 115 - Power Play - 24 Feb 1992 1/2 Data, Troi, & O'Brien have their minds taken over, and it's up to everyone else to save them. A pretty well worn Sci-Fi trope. There's no real threat, as you know they'll get reset at the end. So all there really is to care about

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek TNG Ep 115 - Power Play - 24 Feb 1992 2/2 is the performances of the regular actors doing other things. Some of those parts are fun to watch, but to be honest the lack of an actual threat to Troi, O'Brien, & Data made this not a huge dramatic piece, just a few fun bits.

The woman is Patricia Tallman from Babylon 5.
