Notes

• The final episode filmed (not aired) with Denise Crosby as a series regular.  Her actual final scene has her waving to the camera in the distance, something that was not picked up right away. A picture of that is shown below.
• The episode was written as a nod to Miami Vice, a show producer Maurice Hurley had worked on prior to TNG.
• The guest cast included both Judson Scott & Merritt Butrick who both appeared in “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan” about 5 years prior.
• The episode “Trusted Sources” of Star Trek: Lower Decks was a sequel of sorts to this episode. These planets were visited 17 years later (in universe) where we got to see the effects of what Picard’s decisions did here.
