- This is the second and final episode with Dr. M’Benga (Booker Bradshaw). The character would not be seen again until the series “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” when he was shown to be the Chief medical officer of the USS Enterprise under Capt Pike.
- The woman who takes Sulu’s place at the helm was in Star Trek previously as one of the natives in “The Paradise Syndrome“.
- The prop that Mr. Spock uses for his calculations is the same prop (slightly modified) that was used as the control mechanism to control Spock himself in “Spock’s Brain“.

Mostly meh, but I really loved one part - the bit where Scotty was trying to access the engines. That was because it was something newly created for this ep. I even liked the "lightning effect". Ultimately pic.twitter.com/362H33vUji

the entire sequence with Lee Meriweather's Losira ended up being boring because it was just another computer for Kirk to figure out. Planet earthquake effect quite good. Liked this more than I remembered. pic.twitter.com/EKAc51s7uq
