Notes
- Joyce Muskat was a fan who got their script submission purchased. Was her only script sale ever.
- One of the few episodes to directly quote the Bible, specifically Psalm 95, Verse 4. There is a second reference by Scotty at the end, calling out the Gospel of Matthew 13:45-56.
- The sequence when Gem absorbing the illness of others at the end of the episode took eight hours to film due to the stop motion techniques used. it was on screen for just a few seconds.
- The events of this episode are referenced in dialogue in the series finale “Turnabout Intruder“.
- The couch that Gem sits on is a gigantic version of the agonizers seen in “Mirror, Mirror” and “Day of the Dove”.

This was one I really didn't like when I was young. This was all about feelings, emotions, and things of that nature. No action of any kind. I've grown to appreciate it now that I've gotten older, but I know it is pic.twitter.com/qxtgot7woN

not one high up on everyone's lists - although DeForest Kelly really liked it, which is obvious when you watch it. Was an ep written by a fan as the show had an open door policy back then. The Jem actress was great. pic.twitter.com/VUfsiw52df
