Notes
- A sequel to the original series episode “The Naked Time“. The writer of the original episode (John DF Black) was given a writing credit for this one.
- Brooke Bundy made her only appearance as the first chief engineer of the Enterprise, Sarah MacDougal, in this episode. There was no stable engineer until Season 2, when Geordi LaForge was given that title.
- SS Tsiolkovsky model was a redress of the USS Grissom from Star Trek III: The Search for Spock.
- There is a reference to the original TOS episode when Riker & Data find a reference to events of that episode in the ship’s database.
- The diamond-shaped statue in Tasha Yar’s quarters previously appeared in Kirk’s apartment in the second movie.
- This is the first time in any incarnation of Star Trek that the Enterprise from the original series is referred to as a “Constitution Class”, although that fact existed for all this time behind the scenes. This was the first time it was mentioned on screen.

This is a sequel to the TOS ep of a similar name - "The Naked Time". While I enjoyed the comedy that comes from this, I thought it was an odd choice for the 2nd ep to have one where the characters are shown to pic.twitter.com/DtYKPjypYA

be acting abnormally before we get to know them. This ep is the source of the info that Data is "fully functional" when Yar has sex with him. I think this would have worked better about 10 episodes later. pic.twitter.com/3MGd7s6Jl7
