Notes

  • The first episode in Star Trek history that uses a holodeck, although it wasn’t called that. They just called it the “Rec Room”.
  • This episode was directed by Bill Reed despite the closing credits saying they were directed by Hal Sutherland.

One of my favs - the ship goes through an odd "cloud", getting its circuits corrupted. The computer itself starts playing practical jokes on the crew, to the point where they're elevated to cause life pic.twitter.com/qEFnfI4w7k

threatening danger. Canon alert: This is the first ever appearance of a Holodeck in #StarTrek, although here it's called a "Rec Deck". The way out is telegraphed far in advance, but I loved this ep. pic.twitter.com/CAAMqf3n6q
