- Kurtwood Smith plays Thrax here. He later played Anorak in Voyager’s “Year of Hell“. He was also the Federation president in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.
- The first appearance of Garak since the fourth season finale. He was said to have been jailed for six months due to events of that episode.
- Features the return of Nana Visitor as Kira Nerys after her real life delivery a couple of weeks back (albeit in a very short scene).

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek Deep Space Nine Ep 106 - Things Past - 18 Nov 1996 2/2 That's something I always figured happened but we never saw. Great Odo backstory here. Once again Dukat shows he's one of the best Trek villains ever. I also really like the name Terek Nor vs "Deep Space Nine". :)
