This is a story that has a really bad reputation, but I don't know why. I thought the story was always good. I suspect it's all down to the special effects, nearly the entire thing being pic.twitter.com/eXY8oYsjqZ

#DoctorWhoMarathon Ep 470 - Underworld 2/4 (Serial 4Y Story 96) - 7 Jan 1978. #DoctorWho 1/2

done in CSO (old school blue screen). But character wise and plot wise I had no problems here. There's some nice Time Lord history in this one. Sets are prety small. #TheQuestIsTheQuest pic.twitter.com/HljATu2MlZ

The cliffhanger was inventive. The ship they're on becomes buried when their gravity was greater than anything else, so it becomes buried by rocks. The Doctor is oddly calm in this. The pic.twitter.com/PwxVgSLsYW

problems with CSO start here. Only thing that makes me wonder about this story is why the Doctor can't just take them all way with the Tardis. The people already here bit of a mystery. pic.twitter.com/sOSubj2MhU

As we explore into the planet, we see more the CSO stuff that makes people not like this story, but I find myself intrigued to find the result of #TheQuestIsTheQuest. The Doctor finds pic.twitter.com/RaSuvZg9wH

there is another ship on the planet. After some back and forth, the Doctor leads a raid/escape from the other ship. This story has a lot of characters just standing around at times. pic.twitter.com/GBKEul0Q3a

The Doctor ends up at the Oracle and talks another computer down. In the end he saves the Minyans from death by explosion on takeoff. The quest is over, and everyone goes on their way. pic.twitter.com/Eeqo3poCQf

Despite the bad CSO sfx and limited sets here, I always liked this one. I do know that's a minority opinion. Also, I had forgotten exactly how much skin Leela showed in this story. pic.twitter.com/L3TimHHaW4
