Notes

  • Worf & Jadzia Dax get married in this episode.
  • It is said in the episode that a week has passed since the events of the last episode (in universe).
  • The USS Sutherland is the same ship that was commanded by Data in the TNG episode “Redemption II“.  It was said to be commanded by a “Capt. Shelby”.  This was intended to be the same Shelby from “The Best of Both Worlds“, but that is not specified on screen.
  • Nog’s dancing was improvised by Aron Eisenberg.
  • Jadzia Dax’s father’s name is revealed here – Kela.
  • The Dax symbiont is said to be 356 years old.
  • The bracelet given to Kira in “Second Skin” by Tekeny Ghemor can be seen here.
  • The final time the character of Alexander Rozhenko is seen in any incarnation of Star Trek.  He is played here by Marc Worden for the second and final time.
  • At 4:56 into the episode it sounds like there was a shortened version of the Wilhelm scream.

#StarTrekMarathon Deep Space Nine Ep 131 - You Are Cordially Invited - 10 Nov 1997 1/2 Basically Worf & Dax get married. There's some drama in the ep about it maybe not happening (surrounding Martok's wife), but in the end you knew it was happening. I was glad they did this, but wished we had more

#StarTrekMarathon Deep Space Nine Ep 131 - You Are Cordially Invited - 10 Nov 1997 2/2 time together (see S6 finale). Still, a fun enjoyable ep after the "heavy" of the last 7. The final time Worf's son Alexander is seen - ever. Well paced & well PLACED in the running order. Farrell looked great!
