More on G4 / TechTV

Well, there’s only two shows left on G4/TechTV from the old TechTV days. Screen Savers and Xplay. Everything has has been cancelled, and everyone else fired/let go save for a few random folks, plus Adam & Morgan. And Screen Savers is a sham, it’s got nowhere near the intelligence and knowledge that it used to have *COUGH*Leo*COUGH*, it’s a bunch of “who cares” folks there now (plus I’ve been reading where they fake phone calls, too!).
I just found out tonight that Unscrewed was cancelled when I was looking at a blog for Laura Swisher, the now unemployed former staffer there. I wonder how long till they dump Xplay, too.
I kind of figured the merger with G4 wasn’t a true merger with TechTV, it was a gobble, much in the way that Microsoft gobbles up other companies – ironic given that TechTV was originally founded by a Microsoft guy.
Sigh. I wish all these guys would get together and do something somewhere else. I miss my Leo fix. Hell, I miss Wil Wheaton!

Agreed, Leo and Pat knew their stuff inside and out. I wouldn’t be surprised if they staged calls, cause no one with more than three non gamer brain cells watches anymore and there is only so much ‘how do I increase my FPS’ and ‘how do I overclock my components’ that viewers can take. Not to mention that the best person for those types of questions, Yoshi, was fired awhile back. As for XPlay, it’s not likely to go anywhere, it’s all games which is what G4 is all about.

i herd that all the old people from techtv are trying to sue g4 for takeing away there jobs
