This is one I don't remember anything about except that the Sonic Screwdriver is destroyed in this story. This was done because producer John Nathan-Turner thought it was a script pic.twitter.com/3Wvi9Mf7e8

crutch, and didn't like the get out of jail free card. Nyssa is back from her sleep in Kinda. It's a period story, a BBC strength. This first ep is pretty slow paced. pic.twitter.com/BZFr89cjqT

Usually the "exploring" part of a new story ends in ep1, but it's still going into ep2 here. The first story by Eric Saward, who later on became JNT's Script Editor. Rather like pic.twitter.com/C77RXXalIq

the Richard Mace character. Tegan & Adric are held by a creature we don't know much about at this point. The Doctor still hasn't gotten to the main bad guy at the end of Episode 2. pic.twitter.com/9srMMmeB4V

Tegan is taken over again for the 2nd story in a row. The Doctor finally gets to a Terileptil and tries to help them, but they just want to take the Earth for themselves - a pretty pic.twitter.com/va1XRA7m9e

standard bad guy idea. The Sonic Screwdriver is destroyed here, not seen again until 1996. The plan to wipe out the humans is laid out here, involves 1000s of infected rats. pic.twitter.com/3Q08ML4n05

The pacing of this is weird. The Doctor didn't get to the big bad until ep 3/4, and we didn't find out what the real threat is till right at the end of ep3, so it being resolved in pic.twitter.com/8dTP4Macp2

no time isn't a huge surprise. Nyssa is in the Tardis a lot here. The Doctor stops the Terileptils in London, but in the process starts the great fire of 1666. Ending felt rushed. pic.twitter.com/lx1IGJrg4D

The Terelepdil looks like the green packing material guy from Ark in Space.
