Notes

• There was a prequel to this story called “Friend from the Future” – a two minute sequence which introduced Bill Potts as the new companion (and included Daleks).  This aired on 23 April 2016, almost a full year before the episode (and before the previous Christmas special (Doctor Mysterio).
• In this story, the Doctor has an “Out of Order” sign he hangs on the door of the Tardis.  This sign looks an awful lot like a similar sign (even down to the font) used back in the William Hartnell story, “The War Machines“. There is a picture showing both below.
• This story contains the first appearance of the Movellans on screen (albeit in a very small cameo) since 1979’s “Destiny of the Daleks“.
