Notes

  • Flint’s castle is a reused matte painting from “The Cage” in the original version of the episode.  In the remastered version something different was created.
  • The repeat of this episode (2 Sep 1969) was the last episode shown of the original run of Star Trek on NBC.  The following Monday (8 Sep 1969) the show premiered in syndication.
  • The Enterprise that is on a desk in this episode (that Kirk peers in) was the 3 foot model they used for filming special effects for the series.
  • The bottom part of the L4 robot was previously part of Nomad in “The Changeling“.

I have a strong memory of this ep as a kid thinking it was hilarious when you saw a closeup of Kirk's face on the view screen. That & I liked the base concept that the main guest was multiple thousands pic.twitter.com/qE7uno4Y6r

#StarTrekMarathon Star Trek Ep 74 - Requiem for Methuselah - 14 Feb 1969 2/2

of years old being many different people thru history. This ep is rather talky. There's a plot with Rayna the android being overwhelmed with "love" - but that part wasn't as intersting. Overall - "ok". pic.twitter.com/RNNKR7rGoF
