Timescape

This Story: Season 6 Episode 25 (production code 251)
TNG Overall: Episode 151
Trek Overall: Story 245, Episode 253
Airdate: 14 Jun 1993
Written by Brannon Braga
Directed by Adam Nimoy

Notes

  • The second episode directed by Adam Nimoy, the real life son of Leonard Nimoy (the first was “Rascals“).
  • The only episode in any incarnation of Star Trek where we see the living quarters section of the Danube class runabout/shuttle.  Said quarters were built as part of the TNG budget to easy budget restrictions on DS9 at the time, but then the set was never used on that show.
  • The events of the following episodes are relayed in this story: “Time’s Arrow“, “Time’s Arrow Part II“,  and “Face of the Enemy“.
  • The second (and last) time emergency transporter armbands were used in TNG (the other time was “The Best of Both Worlds Part II”). They were used in the DS9 episode “Visionary“, and similar technology was used in the Star Trek Picard episode “Vox“.
  • The third episode where we see the Enterprise destroyed – the others were “Time Squared” & “Cause and Effect“.
  • The actress Patricia Tallman appears as “female alien” in this episode – she appears as a Romulan.  She’s well known to me as Lyta Alexander from Babylon 5.  She has appeared on screen in 9 separate episodes of TNG/DS9/VOY, as well as being a stunt double for various actresses in 18 episodes of TNG/DS9/VOY & Star Trek Generations.

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek TNG Ep 151 - Timescape - 14 Jun 1993 1/2 A fun one where Data, LaForge, Troi, & Picard are on a shuttle, return to find the Enterprise frozen in space with a Romulan ship which is not what you think it was. Another ep where we see the Enterprise blown up. This ep is full

#StarTrekMarathon #StarTrek TNG Ep 151 - Timescape - 14 Jun 1993 2/2 of timey wimey stuff, which came out in a bunch of different ways. I love stories like this - enjoyed it as much now as I did back in the day. Patricia Tallman from B5 is in here. Directed by Adam Nimoy. Funny joke with Spot.
